A Note From A Carer

"For those of us dressing someone who can no longer dress themselves, the goal is not perfection. It’s ease, familiarity and the gentle relief that comes when something feels right. A drop of simplicity in complex circumstances."

Holly Graham is a primary caregiver to her partner's parents both living with Alzheimer's disease. She is also Mita's Brand Director. In this personal entry, she reflects on the challenges and small victories of helping her mother-in-law dress comfortably and joyfully, as her body and cognition changes.

  • Behind The Brand

Mita was founded by lawyers Amy Smith and Daphne Yeoh. Inspired by Amy’s late grandmother, Iris, it grew from a deeply personal experience and a shared resolve to address something often overlooked in the fashion industry.

  • Design Considerations

As we set out to create Mita’s first collection, we committed to a process of rigour and refinement. From fabric composition to laundering, each aspect was thoroughly considered and meticulously developed in Melbourne.
